Like a lot of the Deduction & Deception games listed at Board Geeks, gameplay is tense and electric. Everyone gets dealt their role card at the start of the game, who have varying win conditions. Throughout the game, the leading player (which gets passed around) picks a team to go on a mission. Everyone sitting at the table can then vote to approve or reject the team going through. Should the team be approved, each member of the team gets to secretly hand in either a success or fail card. A mission succeeds if there are no fail cards, and fails otherwise.
Heroes of Arthur (the good guys) win if there are 3 successful missions, whereas the Minions Mordread (the bad guys) win if there are 3 failed missions. A strong difference to Base Resistance is that there is the presence of Merlin. Merlin knows all the bad guys at the start which can seem overpowered BUT: should the bad guys lose, they have one more chance to win the game by guessing who Merlin is. Should they guess correctly, the bad guys win. Crazy stuff.
