If You Like: Lying and betraying your friends and family but it's okay because it's just a game?
Player Count: Teams for 5-10 Players
Complexity Rating: 1 - Light
Average Playtime: 30 Minutes
Like a lot of the Deduction & Deception games listed at Board Geeks, gameplay is tense and electric. Everyone gets dealt their role card at the start of the game, who have varying win conditions. Throughout the game, the leading player (which gets passed around) picks a team to go on a mission. Everyone sitting at the table can then vote to approve or reject the team going through. Should the team be approved, each member of the team gets to secretly hand in either a success or fail card. A mission succeeds if there are no fail cards, and fails otherwise.
The Resistance (the good guys) win if there are 3 successful missions, whereas the Senate (the bad guys) win if there are 3 failed missions. The third edition features the Inquisitor expansion in place of The Plot Thickens for a streamlined extended game play.
